Hi everyone, I’ve got two quick questions:

I have an albino leopard gecko, approx. 6-7 months old, and once was a great little eater.  The past week or so, however, she has been showing signs as though she may be impacted, decreased size in her poop, and less appetite.  Now, she hasn’t eaten in the 3 days, and hasn’t pooped in 2 days.  Problem is, I don’t know what she could be impacted on!  I keep her in a very simple set up with paper towel substrate and margarine tubs turned over as hides.  Moist paper towels in her humid hide, and nothing else is in the tank.  I’m not ruling out a possibility of parasites, but I want to ask whether impaction could be a possibility here.  She still shows interest in crickets, just looks away just as she gets nose to nose with it.

My second semi-related question is, since the whether in Chicago has gotten warmer the past day or so, it’s been hard to make sure the temps in all my reptile tanks don’t over heat.  What’s the best way to “cool down” the temps in their tanks?

Thanks in Advance, Karin
