I tried Delta too, they were happy to take animals, but not from Halifax. They subcontract to a smaller airline here that doesn't have pressurized cargo.
I had a similar problem with Continental, they'll take animals under 1 lb without an account, but most of their planes flying out of here during the summer are also too small for live cargo. In peak tourist season it might work with them. I also asked about setting up an account and they can't do it as they don't have an office here and can't send anyone to inspect my business.
I will be flying to the Toronto show next week with Air Canada, at least that seems to be not too complicated.

We ship with Delta Dash on a regular basis. We are not a verified
shipper and have had no problems just shipping geckos. It seems that
you only now need to be a verified shipper if you are shipping snakes.

Any Canadians out there with recent experience flying internationally with gex?
I've been having a heck of a time figuring out how to bring gex with me to Daytona. So far the airline I usually use won't ship them due to it likely being too hot, another uses a local partner that can't accept live and the last option will let me take pets under 1 lb, but can't tell me what size box I can take. Grrrr!
One problem is that I can't set up an account with any of the US airlines as they don't have any local agents that can inspect my business. Seems I will forever be dubbed the "Unknown Shipper".
