Hi Elizabeth,
Its is probably what Jon suggests. Most of the Gehyra mutilata on Seychelles are brownish without any spots. However if look at the ones from the Sunda-region they have a spotted pattern in juvenile and adult stage.
It is definitely not a Lepidodactylus.

Definitely looks like a gecko to me, perhaps a Lepidodactylus. Check out those toes! Has it been injured around the middle? Can you nurse it back to health?
