A few days ago my husband found a tiiiiny (two inches long MAYBE) little
gecko in his office. He managed to catch it and we now have it in a nice
set-up. I originally thought it was a leopard gecko, since it looks just
like one (we have had leos in the past) but it seems much smaller than one,
and a little darker. Someone ventured that it might be a Texas Banded Gecko,
which would make sense since we live in Dallas (although according to what I
have seen these geckos live further west and south than that). I haven't
been able to find a good care sheet on those, since they aren't usually kept
as pets I don't think.
I am treating it so far like a leopard (heat lamp, calcium-dusted pinhead
crickets) but am concerned that it might have more specific needs, if indeed
it is a Texas Banded. Any info would be great- thanks so much!!!
