deforestation there is bad and overpopulation is
encroaching on their natural resources. I have no
doubt there are species there that won't be there much
longer at the rate they're going. I guess that's not
much different from anywhere else, though. Bottom line
is we need to convince someone over there of the
necessity of their exportation of animals due to loss
of environment. Their importation controls have
decreased and private exportation has been slow. The
main things they export are software services and
software workers. They also export textile goods, gems
and jewelry, engineering goods, chemicals and leather
manufactures. They import from the UK more than they
do from the US, though the US runs a close second
place. They import crude oil, machinery, gems,
fertilizer and chemicals. Let's hope that animals are
added to that list before many species become extinct
before they're ever even described!
