HI there!

Thanks for the replies...I live in Dallas, Texas. We haven't lived here very long so I don't know any breeders like I did in Alabama, so yes, I have only been looking in pet stores. Tons of leopards of course but no fat-tails. One store even said they no longer carry them, but I don't remember why.

They are not as prevalent as they were a few years back, I have to agree.

I'd order from a reputable place I trust like Julie's Gecko Ranch, but am afraid to get anything shipped to this Texas heat. :)

I appreciate the thought. I do ship all over the USA - you have to wait for that window in the heat right now though. Like most breeders I watch Weather.com daily. Checking today your end of the shipping deal from me is not a problem heat-wise in the 80s. I could not ship out of here this week because of temps in the 100F range, 90F is max shipping out for me for beefy Eublepharids like leos and fat-tails.

Even I don't have any fat-tails; I loaned out my fat-tails to East Bay Vivarium. They just don't like Davis (near hot Sacramento, CA). I have bred many kinds of geckos, however, could not get these robust (not obese), healthy gex to breed. East Bay is in the East Bay of San Francisco and the temps are quite different there, moist and cool. They do fine there, go figure! I even duplicated their set-ups at my home here.

Anyone know of a good store or breeder near Dallas?

Thanks guys! :)

I know Ron Tremper, however I don't think he works with fat-tails. He is in the San Antonio area. I'm sure you could come up with someone at http://www.kingsnake.com - be sure to get references.

They're definately not "rare" over here either, unless you're looking for
amels, then i guess those are sort of rarer everywhere!

where do you live? and are you only looking in petstores?
