What's a Takydromus?I had CB Phelsuma cepediana at a show and a lady bought the best looking male. She returned in tears with the body and her huge husband to demand a refund. She put him in with her Takydromus and it killed him immediately.
Physically?
Hubby mistakened my helper for me since I wasn't at the table and started pushing him around.
No kidding! After being summoned to my table, he looked up at me and said it wasn't really my fault that the lizard died.
The nice thing about rare Phelsuma like that is that you don't have to sell them to the general public. There are plenty of collectors waiting to take them off your hands. If you are in that position again please post on the classifieds here or ask for some help from the Phelsuma corps here. We'll see to it that the gecko goes to people who are qualified to take care of it. People with absolutely no Phelsuma experience are very excited to own P. cepediana, however, they are not a beginner Phelsuma by a longshot. It is not fun having to convince people of this though! ;(
