I've always been a little confused about this. If I was breeding my animals and I had 1 unrelated male breeding with 2 unrelated females (i.e.: all three geckos from different parents), how many bloodlines are the hatchlings? What if I was breeding 1 unrelated male with 2 related females (sisters)? Now what if I bred cousins from this latter trio (hypothetically)?
I thought I had a grasp of this but ever since I've been trying to group the geckos for future breeding, I'm confused.
