I've had a lot of problems with too much moisture in the incubation medium. I guess I have trouble believing that that little is enough, and the first few years I lost a lot of leo eggs. I'm doing better with a rule I ran into on someone's web page - vermiculite to water 1:1 by weight or 6:1 by volume. Also Hilde posted some photos on some of her web pages showing incubation containers with too little, too much and just right levels of humidity, based on the amount of condensation on the lids. If I see more than a slight mist on the top, I now wipe it off and repeat as necessary. I still tend to use too much water, but I'm getting better at self-restraint. I don't trust myself to just eyeball it. This is beginner's advice from a beginner! Maybe Hilde will post the link to her photos. _______________________________________________ Global Gecko Association http://www.gekkota.com Classifieds http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi gecko mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko
