Hey Chris,

Thanks, John and Julie.

You are very welcome!

I think I will try to keep 1.1 picturatus in my small case and see how it goes. I have a 20 gal high I can move them to if need be. Cage size is really my main concern, from the info I've been able to glean so far, care is comparable to Phelsuma, as you pointed out Julie. Will (eventually) try and post a pic so you can see what I'm talking about.

I think your plan is really good! These are delightful gex, enjoy!

Thanks again,
Chris

    Hi Chris
My web search on Lygodactylus picturatus just delivered 231 hits -
    not sure
how many are captive care orientated.

The first 3 "standard" gecko books I looked at all have sections
    on this
    species:

    1. Henkel/Schmidt. "Geckoes" Krieger Publishers.
    2. Seufer. "Keeping and Breeding Geckos". TFH.
    3. Coborn. "Breeding and Keeping Geckos". TFH.

From what I've read in the past the species lives on trees,
    usually well
off the ground. They therefore require a bit of height in the
    terrarium
plus vertically orientated, smooth branches. Your temperatures
    look right
as Henkel/Schmidt say they like sunshine and a localised hotspot of 35
    degrees C.

Best wishes,

John
