Thank you Jim for you quick response.
I will move them over to dry sand, I more or less expected that the "leopard gecko substrate" would be too wet.
Thank you for the link as well, a good informative site.
Take care Jon

Jon,
It's been a while since I hatched any of these but I thought I'd respond in
case no one else does. You don't want this type of egg resting on damp
vermiculite or anything similar. I had success putting the eggs on dry sand
in a humid container. I used a small plastic jar lid with the eggs nestled
in sand but not covered by it. Then, I placed that jar lid inside of a
plastic storage container with a layer of slightly damp vermiculite or other
medium on the bottom and put a lid on it with a small hole for some air
exchange. In this way my eggs weren't resting on anything too damp but they
were in a slightly humid atmosphere.
I don't have record of the temps I used but using the temps you use for leopard geckos won't hurt.
I wanted to make sure my methods weren't too far off so I did a search. Here is a nice site on Helmeted geckos: http://hem.bredband.net/geckos/
Hope this helps. I quite enjoyed working with these fun little guys. Jim Chapman/Ogden UT ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jon Isaksson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, April 18, 2004 8:18 AM Subject: [gecko]Helmeted gecko eggs!
