I just felt like saying a few word about the show on Sunday. I had never
been to one and it was sort of what I expected - lots of snakes, not so many
rarer geckos but it was nice to look at everything. But the reason I went to
this time was because I wanted to see Neil's uroplatus geckos. Let me tell
you, I have seen uroplatus before but his were absolutely beautiful; the
best I had ever seen. With such a small collection he brought, I could just
imagine what kind of good stuff he has hidden away!

Originally, I intended to pick up a couple of Uroplatus ebenaui from a local
guy for a pretty good price and good looking stuff. I am so glad I didn't
see him because I picked up two Uroplatus phantasticus from Neil and I am
giddy as a school girl ;o) He had one kick-butt ebenaui that I can't stop
thinking about but he had no female to make a pair so I didn't buy him. I
wish I'd brought more money.

Neil was so helpful, too. He was explaining all the things he does to
keep/breed them properly and after I left I felt bad because I felt like I
made it look like I didn't appreciate it. But I really did, a lot.
Especially since I wasn't able to stay for his presentation. It's one one of
those once in a lifetime things I feel I will never get again (but I'm sure
I will one day).

Anyway, thanks again Neil for the great geckos. Next time you come down to
the expo, I'll make sure I put a deposit on some of your finest geckos so I
can take home award-winning U. ebenaui!

Mike
