it's amazing how a city, state or country will fight at times for "the
rights of animals" or what ever and take away, make illegal, demand
permits for certian or all herps and children are allowed to go ferral,
starve, get beaten...Norway, San Francisco...wow...

anyway, i am asking for help with a certain gecko that i have. i've
been told long ago and recently that they are stenodactylus petrii from
most except John/EBV and his contacts as UC Berkely. i have many photos
of the scales and with measuring tape i can email anyone that can
really help me on this. i have been told by those that study these that
because of the color and pattern and whip like tail that these are
petrii and not dorei (sp). I'm only very concerned as i've got some
gravid and need to make sure i'm recording the data for the right
species of steno.

my stheno svl are 1.5 Inches and on the "petrii" the svl is 3.0 Inches
on the largerst Female. and 2.25 Inches on the largest Male.

Are there any resouces that can help? something that speaks more to the
scales and color insead of just the color? Anything?

Thanks in advance.
