[gecko]New with geckos - need info.

Hello everyone,   I am from Caracas, Venezuela.  My son found a small gecko running on one of the walls of the house, captured it and made him his pet.  He prepared small fish tank with some plants and put the little animal inside.  However, we have no idea what to feed him.  He is very small, no more than 2" long (total lenght), light brown, with 4 or 5 darker brown stripes on the body section and some 10 stripes on the tail.   Could someone give me some help on how to care for this animal?  I'd hate having to see the animal die and my son would hate letting him free.   Thanks   Guillermo Scharffenorth
