Check this photo of  Sphaerodactylus elegans here on the GGA web site:

There are at least three species of Sphaerodactylus found in Florida and I
would think yours is a juvenile of one of the three.  He probably needs
fruit flies and I would be surprised if he ate vegetables.  Hope this helps,
