This morning a nice gal researcher from Berkeley came over and collected samples from the feet of all my Rhacodactylus; R leachianus (Pine Island and Grand Terre), R. ciliatus, R. ariculatus and R. sarasinorum. I will be collecting samples from the geckos in the future so she does not have to come out. We have posted links to this research project's findings before on the list, the researcher promised to send links to findings we would be interested in. I told her we were very interested! The goal of the project is to enable some robot to climb up a wall; there are also many teams working with this project interested in developing tape that is as good as our geckos' feet!

If anyone in the San Francisco area is keeping Diplodactylus she would be interested in collecting samples; contact me.
