I see the head waggling in Phelsuma a lot. It is just one of their territoriality/mating behaviors. Usually the head waggling is accompanied by vocalizations.

A question arose on a chameleon list refering to head bobbing in lizards.
Has anyone noted this behavior in geckos?
I can't recall seeing it ever.
