[gecko]Sphaerodactylus microlepis

KInda slow these days, but I have a question.

I'm wondering what are the diagnostic features for distinguishing the various Sphaerodactylus microlepis subspecies, especially the females? Also why the subspecies names? Differences in patter and color or differences in habitat or distribution? Any help or references are appreciated.
