I just noticed my female grandis' right eye is, well, flat. Viewed from above, you know how the eye normally curves out from the head? Well the right eye doesn't--it is just flush with the rest of the head.
I've no idea how long this has been the case, because it's only obvious from the right angle--from the side it looks normal, and she's pretty skittish about much movement around the tank--except that I also discovered that she is no longer skittish about movement on her right (even movement that sent my much tamer male running) so I conclude she is blind in that eye.

As I said, it looks normal from the side--no appearance of infection, drainage or anything else. The question is, is it worth the stress of a trip to the vet just to ask "what do you think happened?"

(I am assuming that, if she is already blind, there won't be much the vet can do besides determine more authoritatively whether there is an infection).

So what do you think?
TIA!

Thanks!
Camille
