I would use a cooler or any styrofoam box. I prefer coller weather than hot for transporting. It seems eaier to heat than to cool. I would put the gecko in a small container like a deli cup or small tupperware type container, set that on foam peanuts inside the strofoam box and have the heat pack taped to the bottom. Make sure you dont hav ethe heat pack in direct contact with the gecko. They can get pretty hot. For your short trip you should be fine.

I bought a circle back leopard gecko in NY and I live in CT. I put
one of those 24 hour heat packs in his box he came in with some paper
towels on it so that he will not get too hot. Will this be a safe way
of transporting a leopard gecko?
