im pretty new to breeding cresties as well, i just hatched MY OWN first lcutch a couple weeks ago, makes my 2nd hatched clutch overall (first was for a friend). i dont know exactly which herps are sensitive to egg rotation, but i would suggest not doing it on your cresties. simply mark the top of the egg with a non-toxic marker, and they should be fine. im sure theres plenty of people on the list with cresteds as they are getting more and more popular all the time, but what i do is get moistened vermiculite, place it in one of those plastic gladware containers, poke some holes in the top, and i actually completely bury the eggs under it. so far ive only had 1 egg go bad, but it didnt look too good to begin with and i think part of the problem was that it was the female's first clutch. the other egg is actually due out any day now. i also weigh my eggs periodically, you'll notice they'll gain weight and grow pretty considerably over the time that you incubate them. keep them cool, i personally dont like the idea of raising temperatures to try to get them to hatch out faster because if you take care of them right, they'll all hatch sooner or later. so i would recommend keeping them cool, just as you should with your geckos. so far, mine have averaged about 70-75 days to make it out, but they sure look good when they finally make it!
good luck! mike _______________________________________________ Global Gecko Association http://www.gekkota.com Classifieds http://www.gekkota.com/cgi-gekkota/classifieds.cgi gecko mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gekkota.com/mailman/listinfo/gecko
