Mike and all,
I watched the episode tonight on my local UPN affiliate.. it was an all
female competition. This part was putting two gals in a smallish
plexiglass box with about 400 geckos and some pythons, maybe some other
snakes. The object was to move magnets up the wall into receptacles
with the reptiles mentioned having to be "moved" to accomplish the task.
One gal was bitten pretty good! The geckos were Gekko gekko (Tokay) and
possibly some Gekko ulikovskii (Golden Gecko). After seeing this I
don't see why geckos and snakes had to be mixed. Not cool.

newer episode, but im pretty sure i remember an older episode where they
had the people in with some tokay geckos, talking about how vicious they
were. what in the world? i've heard tokays can give a nasty bite, but
when they're packed in with a bunch of other animals and have some person
screaming and squirming, i seriously doubt they're gonna know what to
bite. i wonder if any of those contestants have ever heard the saying
"the animals are more afraid of you than you are of them"?
