Thanks Holmes! I appreciate you sharing your observations! These are my
first pink-eyed albinos so I am really excited!

Congrats!
I look forward to pictures. It will be interesting to
see how the light sensitivity evolves with age.
I'm working with some of the Tremper giant albinos and
they exhibited light sensitivity beyond that of
'normal' albinos for the first 6-7 months of their
lives. At one year old they seem just like any other
albinos in this regard.
Interestingly, their mobility was also minimal when I
first received them. Just sluggish overall. Enough
so that I was quite disappointed in them as a viable
and functional morph. I switched them from mealworms
to crickets. This switch did not seem to please the
giants at all!
My one year olds are now extremely mobile and exhibit
excellent agility. They now receive both mealworms
and crickets and the latter always elicit an athletic
chase. I am much more enthusiatic about the giant
morph and will probably expand their allocation a bit
in the near future.
Again, congratulations and best regards,
Holmes

I had a clutch of these hatch today! Purdy little
boys (incubated at
88F) with purple, white and pink on them. They
seemed to squint more
than the other hatchlings when I took them out of
the incubator. Their
parents are a tangerine albino cross and a Tremper
albino. They have
not produced any hatchlings that looked like these
before! I will post
a photo soon.
Just wanted to share and see if anyone is working
with anything like this.
