Actually Jeremy started the show as a captive bred only show. As
things went along, he realized that there was no way to track that all of
the animals were captive bred. He has since let up on that policy. He does
request that wild caught animals be long term captives and look healthy.
Jeremy also walks the floor and makes sure vendors remove anything that
looks unhealthy.
I went this year and did see some animals that had to be wild
caught. Some were not the best choices of pets (ex. collard lizards), but
all appeared healthy at the show. I will say that Upscale has one of the
nicest shows I have been to. I did not see anything that would nauseate me. ;>
