To me, there is no greater sound than being woken up in the middle of the night by a vocal male, especially when he's a brute the length of your forearm. That was one of the things my wife appreciated most about having the geckos.
The bigger they are, the more beautiful the look. I think Lyle is absolutely right that if they weren't so cheap, they'd be all the rage. Anyone ever see an albino in real life? One of the producers, Rare Earth, maybe had photos of albino (maybe amel) tokays, but I don't recall ever seeing one available for sale. I think another big dissuader is the long incubation time.
