Late last night I discovered that one of my female leos had been bitten on the head by one of her tank mates. They've since been separated, but Ellipsis has a nasty looking wound on the top of her head (the bottom of the bite is just a scratch). I cleaned it out with betadine and applied neosporin. She's in a freshly cleaned tank by herself, on paper towels with a moist hide and her regular rock and log hides, and a fresh water dish. Cage temps are ~75 cool end, 82 warm end. She's still active. It looks like the wound has stopped bleeding. I don't think she's near shedding time, and she is otherwise healthy.
Unfortunately it's my regular vet's day off and I haven't had good luck finding a reptile vet on a Saturday. Do I need to keep looking for an animal hospital that will see her today, or is there anything else I can do for her here until Monday? I've put up photos of her injury at http://www.yemenwithtoast.com/knit/IMG_0082.JPG and http://www.yemenwithtoast.com/knit/IMG_0085.JPG. Any advice appreciated. Thanks, -Jessica and Ellipsis
