We would like to announce the release of FlatZinc for Gecode 1.1 http://www.gecode.org/flatzinc.html
This release fixes several bugs and brings Gecode/FlatZinc closer to the FlatZinc specification: * Added support for constant declarations (like int: a=3;) * New constraints required by FlatZinc specification (mostly int_lin_*) * More verbose error reports * Accept carriage return (Windows end-of-line) * Fixed bug in output of Boolean variables FlatZinc is a low-level modelling language for constraint problems. It is designed to be easily interfaceable to constraint solvers (like Gecode). For more information on FlatZinc, please refer to http://www.g12.cs.mu.oz.au/minizinc/ We provide a parser that reads a FlatZinc model from a file, and returns a Gecode Space object that represents the model. We also provide a simple front-end, an executable program that reads a FlatZinc model and prints the solution (if any) on the standard output. FlatZinc for Gecode requires the just-released Gecode 2.0.1, and can be built and run on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
