Hi,

my colleague has started implementing FloatVar and things are fine so 
far. Looking over his shoulder, I noticed that all variable types are 
required to appear in the Gecode kernel sources, namely in the 
Space::update function. Is that really necessary? Is this needed 
somewhere else too?

I originally thought that adding a new variable type does not 
necessarily require recompiling Gecode.
