The trouble is that the backend for the first work we did relied upon a nasty hack in PCB. (Hence won't get into CVS unless we fix it lots). The DBUS stuff is a more elegant IPC solution, and is a very neat patch to PCB. I see DBUS being the future, so presumed to keep that in HEAD, possibly branching off to maintain the old (proof of concept) code. I will dig at a cvs tutorial to see how I can back out changes etc.. I may get back to a state a day or so back and re-evaluate how it will split. What is the version of GTK you're using.. I will see if I can keep things compatible if possible. 2.6 ought not be to hard, 2.4 might be interesting.
