Guys -- As part of the Google SoC, we need to have some mentors for the students who will work on our stuff. The mentor should be somebody familiar with the code he/she is mentoring, and is willing/able to field detailed questions from the student about the codebase. I don't know how much time would be involved in mentoring a student, but I would imagine it would be a few hours a week -- at least! Here's Google's page about the SoC:
http://code.google.com/soc/ Folks who want to mentor a student should have a Google account. For the gEDA Project's Google application, we need to know your Google account user ID for inclusion on the application form. (It's usually your e-mail addr; go to Google and sign up for an acct if you don't have one now.) Therefore, if you want to mentor, please e-mail your Google acct user ID to me (sdb [-at-] cloud9 [-dot-] net) or -- preferably -- Dan McMahill (dan [-at-] mcmahill [- dot-] net). Since we need to submit the application by Monday Mar. 12th, , please send us your acct ID as soon as possible! Thanks, and sorry for the haste!
