As for coffee venues, there are plenty of places in Cambridge near MIT, including the venerable Starbucks where we used to hold our Free Dog meetings. Further up Mass Ave in Central Square there are multiple coffee houses, some indy places, some corporate. I understand the Luna cafe has free wireless, but I've never been there to try it out. As for food, that area in Cambridge offers lots of options, most of which are within student budgets. I suggest that we make a food decision "on the fly" while together since the range of possibilities is quite large.
