I have tried the PCB software in Windows XP SP2. It installs just fine.
When I open it up, it makes 9 little gray windows in addition to the log and
lib windows. Nothing can be done with the little gray windows. no info, no
close x, etc. They reduce to the bottom of the screen when the main PCB
reduces, and expands when the main PCB expands.
Also, the test layout? files do not expand, complains about missing
zlib1.dll.
I looked in the PCB.pdf to see how to start a new layout.. The index says pg
50, but the doc itself does not correspond to the index, and is much
smaller, and is missing the new layout section, for starters.
More fun.
Very experienced Windows sch entry Engineer with a fair bit of layout.
Cadence concept / allegro, orcad / powerpcb
