        I'm okay with actually dropping the doxygen generated 
latex (pdf) documentation.  Html is sufficient.

        If there is a way of generating a png from svg (without requiring
all of inkscape), then svg it is, otherwise I'm okay with png (as the
documentation already has lots of images).
