Hi, I got fed up of big bold dots in my gschem window, so wrote some code to draw a ruled grid. With rules lines, you can colour them very subtly so they don't have to be particularly garish to be effective.
The resulting screen-shot is here: http://www2.eng.cam.ac.uk/~pcjc2/geda/screenshots/gschem_ruled_grid.png It works nicely with fixed grid mode, and the finer grid divisions disappear once they get too small. The code is here (with a few hard-coded constants / colours which ought to be configurable): http://repo.or.cz/w/geda-gaf/pcjc2.git?a=commitdiff;h=867edeac4b02d38493c4269c410829f9433c7f48 (On top of the cairo branch). It wouldn't be too hard to convert this to GDK drawing though. -- Peter Clifton Electrical Engineering Division, Engineering Department, University of Cambridge, 9, JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 0FA Tel: +44 (0)7729 980173 - (No signal in the lab!) _______________________________________________ geda-dev mailing list geda-dev@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-dev
