Sure. The effort and time to do bookkeeping is already being done by them. What do you think of asking them to do the money handling for GSOC incomes? Then some for webhosting etc could be paid by them and bookkept. The rest could be spent as they already are spending it. The only difference would be their MO of dealing with just one developer per project usually.
