1) geda tools are written voluntarily.... so i say.... let he who
writes the code pick the tools they use and let the users select the the
elements of geda that they use....
2) even for geda it isn't unknown that two utilities are similar
tclspice and ngspice for example.
3) even linux comes with a number of different configuration tools
menuconfig xconfig oldconfig
While I do agree that since there are a limited number of developers we
should strive to develop already existing modules rather then rewrite
them from scratch. It isn't manditory.
If the only tool a developer knows in cpm and they produce a better
widget then more power to them.
