gtk is drawing SLOWLY on Windows. I was helping to port gerbv to mingw32/GTK, it is several times slower than under Linux. gEDA is all about drawing lines and shapes. This seems to be known problem, may be it will be fixed (I have last checked a few months ago) or there is some trick I do not know. But in general I am against dramatic rewrites of already running software and I think that incremental efforts should go into bugfixing and missing features.
