Hi gang,
I finally got around to installing gerbv-1.0.1. The quality
of the graphics and the performance of the tool were quite fine!
I did run into a few surprises during the "make install"
command....
1. make install put Makefile.* into all of the installed
directories ( $PREFIX was '/usr/local/ecae' )
2. 'make install' did not create $PREFIX/doc/gerbv-1.0.1/doc directory.
make install also did not install the contents of the doc/ and
examples/ directories into the $PREFIX/doc directory. Is this
intentional?
Finally, I have a feature request. Would it be possible to have
gerbv "remember" the background color settings, and the layer
combining option between sessions?
Thanks for a great piece of software! And to think my employer
paid a king's ransom for a proprietary Mentor Graphics viewer...
Didn't work any better than gerbv.......
