DJ, Your commit 2473e26c fixes the gerber internationalization problem by using g_ascii_strtod and overriding pcb-printf.
I think a better solution would be to give pcb-printf a specifier to output values with a '.' separator but no suffix, since this is probably going to come up with other export formats in the future.
