I think a Knoppix disk that is kept up to date is higher priority, and much easier.

I've seen how knoppix has been adapted to start up with a USB drive as part of its writable drive space. That would be good for demoing and evens steadily using pcb on a liveCD, since there wouldn't need to be so much setup of network and permission to write anywhere when started on a machine. After rebooting to a "trusted on the local network" state, the same machine used to run pcb on knoppix could be used to copy data files to a location to save.
