Run up to your local hardware store, pick your self up a stiff trowel for tiles, its used to put down the adhesive/thinset
They are nice and stiff and have a good handle.

How should we decide to break a solder paste mask into smaller sections to "help them out"? Larger than ____? dimension? I guess this is for better squeegee results -- not needing a super hard edged squeegee -- so the squeegee doesn't go too low over a large opening and leave paste mostly in the edges -- too little paste.

Right?
