Try without any "-" characters in it, they confuse M4. Depending on what
version you have installed, and whether you rely on any M4, or "oldlib"
footprints, you could try:
gsch2pcb --skip-m4 ...

--skip-m4 does not help, but removing all 3 "-" solves the problem.
I am using gsch2pcb 1.6, geda20070216
that is wierd.
would you mind running with "--skip-m4" and also "-v -v" and sending me
what gets printed out?
--skip-m4 really really should have made this problem go away if you're
using the one from geda-20070216. The fact that it didn't help says
there is a bug and one I'd like to squish.
