If this goes out to the same users I'm sorry, I posted the first e-mail to
the wrong site.

I want to download the gEDA Suite file and Linux distribution to install on
my machine. I have an HPA1630N with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 two core processor
4600. Is there a Linux distribution that will run on this processor better
than another?

I googled gEDA archives AMD and saw one person was someone using RH 7.1.
This person was able to work through their problem. The rest were people
using Suse. They had problems and were able to work around them.

I have checked the gEDA:documentation archives for anything relating to AMD
and wasn't able to find anything.

I have checked the manual and the FAQ section and found nothing relating to
AMD.

I have asked a friend who has used Linux a few times and he recommended
RedHat 7; although he hasn't tried using any of the other distributions.

Thank you for any information,

Rob
