Ok, this is a bit less awkward than a a restart of the application. But it's still a workaround. I'll file a feature request for a recalculation command. > I've submitted several fixes to polygon updates recently, so if you use > a newer version (like the most recent snapshot) you may not have to take > this step. I am already using the latest snapshot (downloaded last monday). Zoom got a bit faster, but is still sluggish. I'll look for redundant polygons. > If you turn on 'thin draw polygons' (ctrl-shift-p in lesstif, I think) > it will only draw outlines, which does not require dicing, and makes > everything quite snappy. I had tried transparent polygons with earlier versions of pcb and found it not very helpful because I selected the polygons all the time. Thin polygons are a better solution to the speed problem than regrouping layers. ---<(kaimartin)>--- PS: I added your hints to the wiki -- Kai-Martin Knaak http://lilalaser.de/blog _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
