It's actually a non-modal dialog, DJ changed my snarky quote. If it were modal, you wouldn't be able to drive the main window without closing it. On the other hand, I've found that PCB will crash if you do any real editing during the DRC. I'd also like to see the number of issues reported for a single interaction (eg between two copper traces) reduced. One mistake on a board might get repeated 3 or 4 times, and none of the errors are particularly clear.
