I wonder if you need windows line-feeds (\r\n) rather than Unix (\n) for feeding the Viewmate program? Try running the output through the unix2dos command (apt-get install tofrodos) I'll give it a try tonight. The silkscreen and all other files load on both applications. It is only the drill stuff that fails on the XP system. The fab people are happy with the gEDA files. I'll report on the board once I see it.
