A technique that I am using is to make a footprint called outline.fp and add that to the schematic. This way I can use a text editor to define the board outline, the mounting holes and standard features that need to be accurate. I then check it with PCB just like any other dot.fp before starting the board. By the way clicking the dot.fp in the latest version of PCB is really great. Regards Ian.
