Hi... This is rather OT, I know (ok - we used gschem to draw the panel schematics), but does anyone here have familiarity with thyristor based DC-machine drives?
I and a college just installed one at the lab, and whilst it works fine, it causes the DC-machine to emit the most horrible buzzing sound (due to the switching of the drive), even when the DC-drive is energised, but commanded to zero speed (and thus zero armature current whilst stationary). Does anyone know of any tricks to reduce the acoustic noise? -- Peter Clifton Electrical Engineering Division, Engineering Department, University of Cambridge, 9, JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 0FA Tel: +44 (0)7729 980173 - (No signal in the lab!) _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
