Just got my boards back. Yes, it was a long time, but they're new with the 4 layer service and don't yet have the volume to fire off boards at quick intervals. Hopefully the schedule will improve ;-)
Anyway, image here: http://www.delorie.com/pcb/sf4l-1.jpg Of the boards I got, the quality varied. The above is the worst of seven otherwise identical boards. On the best, the mask and silk were perfectly placed, but on this one the mask was 3 mils to the right and the silk was about 5 mils to the left. The via is a 31 mil copper with 15 mil hole. The IC is 0.65mm pitch. The traces are 8 mil (although they can do 6/6 in 4 layers). The broken mask bridges are only 3 mil wide, so no surprises there. Overall, I'd say the quality was almost as good as the other fabs I've used, so if you have a small 4 layer board to make and plenty of patience, sparkfun (batchpcb.com) is an option. Under 10 sq inches it's cheaper than pcb-pool. DJ _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
