There is a new development snapshot available ... http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23.tar.gz
Optional plugin files: There are some changes, so get these too: http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23-models-bsim.tar.gz http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23-models-jspice3-2.5.tar.gz http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23-models-ngspice17.tar.gz http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23-models-spice3f5.tar.gz http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23-tools.tar.gz This file contains the md5sum of the other files, so you can check for a proper download: http://gnucap.org/devel/gnucap-2008-12-23.md5sum This snapshot provides a performance enhancements and bug fixes in spice model plugins. Among the improvements: 1. A failure that related to internal nodes in spice models has been fixed. 2. Additional convergence checks have been added to the spice-wrapper, solving some cases where it could converge to an incorrect result. To put this in perspective, checking was already much more complete than Spice. 3. Performance improvements -- support for the gnucap's queues for spice-wrapper based plugins. The "eval queue" and "load queue" are now supported, as they have been for built-in models. This can result in significant speed improvements, eliminating much of the speed penalty associated with spice-wrapper based models. Other notes: Certain arguments like "off" may not work by just saying "off". For spice-wrapper based models, you must specify a name=value pair, such as "off=1". === As usual, to get started you need only the main package gnucap-2008-xx-xx.tar.gz . If you need other models or functions, let me know. _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list [email protected] http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
